Hi Guys,
I installed chdk in canon A700.(CHDK is excellent hack which enables many DSLR-like features in canon digital cameras.you can find all info about CHDK here).With CHDK I could take exposures upto 64 seconds. results are better then expected. See images below. Click the Image for larger version.
